The FarmCam Flex Cable version is the ideal solution for farmers seeking to monitor areas where a wired internet network is already in place, such as around a connected milk robot or other essential farm equipment. By utilizing the existing wired infrastructure, this version simplifies surveillance setup, making it a perfect choice for those who want reliable, uninterrupted monitoring without the need of setting up additional wireless equipment like the Bridge 300 antennas. This system takes advantage of your existing network setup, providing a cost-effective, no-fuss way to ensure full coverage and peace of mind for your farm. 

This kit includes one Flex Hub unit and one Flex camera, with the ability to support up to four cameras to one Flex Hub. The Flex Hub is a unique network switch with a built-in power supply, delivering both power and internet connectivity to the connected cameras via a single cable. To expand your system, you can easily add more Flex Hubs and Flex cameras as needed. Installation is simple - just connect the Flex Hub to your network and link the cameras using Ethernet cables. With cable extenders, cameras can be placed up to 60 meters away, or up to 100 meters using a unified cable, offering flexible and reliable coverage. 

Each camera is equipped with infrared technology that provides visibility up to 30 meters in low-light conditions, making them ideal for monitoring livestock or remote areas at night. The cameras have a 5MP (megapixel) resolution (2560 x 1920) and offer a wide viewing angle (80° horizontal, 42° vertical), ensuring you get clear, high-definition video stream directly to your smartphone, tablet, or computer. They also include features like pre-event recording, which captures 5 to 8 seconds of footage before an event occurs, and continuous AI monitoring to minimize false alarms. With 64GB pre-installed SD card storage, you can easily save recordings locally and share camera access with colleagues or friends for added convenience and flexibility. Additionally, the FarmCam 2.0 app for PC lets you record videos directly to your computer's hard drive, providing reliable backup options and enabling continuous, 24/7 recording for uninterrupted surveillance.

Scenario

Challenge: You want to monitor a location where there is already a wired network with connection to the internet.

Solution: If a network cable is already present in the area you wish to monitor, there's no need for the Bridge 300 antennas. Your setup will require the Flex Hub unit and Flex cameras depending on how many areas you want to monitor. Simply plug the existing network cable into the Flex Hub unit and connect your cameras to the Hub. Each camera is linked to the Flex Hub via an Ethernet cable, allowing for placement as far as 60 meters with cable extenders from the Hub or 100 meters with one unified cable.

With the FarmCam Flex camera, you can enjoy 24/7 recording by utilizing the FarmCam 2.0 app on your computer. The recorded footage is securely saved on your local hard drive, providing you with easy access and peace of mind, knowing that all your video data is stored directly on your device.
